So where does the Butterbean Queen name come from?
During summers while I was in high school and through college, I would help my father on our farm, J Mac Produce, with our butterbean operation. I ran the shellers and delivered bagged beans to our vendors. It didn’t take long before some of the business owners would look at me when I came in the door and yell “Here comes the Butterbean Queen!”
The nickname stuck.
As I have grown older, I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes. My husband Rob is a wonderful guinea pig and food critic, and after living in San Diego on the West Coast and Jacksonville on the East Coast, our palette for great food is very broad.
In Jacksonville, I love the abundance of fresh produce from all over the southeast, and I enjoy planning and cooking our meals. This forum offers me an opportunity to try new recipes and share the trials, tribulations, and victories with you! If you are wondering if you can cook, take this simple advice my mother once told me. “If you can read, you can cook.”
I also love real estate! I am a Realtor with Keller Williams Atlantic Partners, and I really enjoy helping clients buy or sell their homes. To learn more about my real estate career, please visit StartPackingUp.com.
