Soy Salmon

I love most seafood, but salmon is a fish that I never really ate growing up. Honestly, the first time I tried salmon was when Rob made it for me when we started dating! Ever since, I have been a huge fan (of both Rob and salmon :)).

I recently tried a new recipe for salmon and it only requires 3 ingredients: light brown sugar, soy sauce, and salmon filets (of course). The recipe is so easy and you can cook it on the stove or the grill. Of note, you need to marinate the salmon for an hour before cooking with light brown sugar and soy sauce. The sweet and salty combination is great!

The dish can be served with brown rice, broccoli (as shown), string beans, potatoes, or almost anything else.

Ingredients:
 4 (6oz.) Salmon Steaks
 ¼ cup firmly packed Brown Sugar
 ¼ cup Soy Sauce

Directions:

Combine brown sugar and soy sauce in a large Ziploc freezer bag, and add salmon. Seal and chill for 2 hours. Remove salmon from marinade, discarding marinade.

Cook salmon in a lightly greased skillet, over medium-high heat, 4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes with a fork.

You can cook the salmon on the grill, over medium-high heat, for 4-5 minutes on each side.
